Noah’s Children is Central Virginia’s only pediatric hospice and palliative care program. We are a specialized program of comprehensive care serving infants, children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, and their families. This holistic program ensures compassionate care at the most difficult time for a family by addressing their physical, emotional, social, spiritual and practical needs, so that they can focus on making sure their child’s remaining time is as rich and meaningful as possible.
Founded in 1997 by Dr. Archuleta, Noah’s Children’s has flourished with generous community support, sustaining a mission that provides complete care for body and spirit to families confronting the life-threatening illness of a child. Today, Noah’s Children is one of only a few programs of its kind in the country. It has been recognized and honored by the Richmond Academy of Medicine and the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

“The art of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness means not just adding days to life, but adding life to that child’s day.”
Dr. Bob Archuleta, Founder and Medical Director of Noah’s Children

As Noah’s Children has grown over the years, so has its art collection. Local artists, writers and poets have contributed their own designs and creations, and ongoing school art programs have helped Noah’s Children pursue additional fundraising efforts.
